I was wondering what would be it to live with so much certainty. Already the age of innocence has been lost with so much information and openness thanks to the internet. Nothing is taboo or off-limits. Now with algorithms that will decipher trends, this will also mean the end of suspense. Am not so certain yet, that this is a good or bad thing. But I am wee bit uneasy at the thought of the living in such predictable world.
Do handful of people really wield so much influence? Or is it just hyping up the info narcissists? From personal experience, I think there is some truth here. Perhaps, these are new definitions for people who in earlier times would have been called as sages, savants or shamans. They apparently have this aura of knowability and credulity to draw and influence a lot or people around them.
These are some random thats that popped up in mind after reading the blog by Augie Ray of Forrester. It talks about Mass Influencer- a category of online influencer comprised of people who create most of the peer impressions about about brands in social channels.
